Thanks for the report crazybob!  I looked the bike over pretty closely that I saw on Friday, but it was inside the dealership.  The colors looked consistent, but I didn't have the benefit of the sunlight.

Saw one at Z&M Harley in Greensburg PA when I was up checkin on my bike.
Was inside and already sold.
Did give it a quick once over and color looked O.K but again, it was not in the light and that is a big difference with these bikes.
It did sell fast though, he said it was on the floor less then a day.
Z&M is a MSRP shop so that may be why.
Didn't care for the blue near as much as  my red though.
Just Sayin,

I'm with you on the red, but i just went for a short ride yesterday 100 miles and i think all the dust that was on the road is now on my bike

another close up...The tour pack was purple. the saddle bag lids where purple and the rest of the bike was black with blue metal flake. I had the salesman and the sales manager looking at it. Sales manager called Harley right away and he is awaiting a answer from them..

Crazybob, did your dealer report anything on the MOCO comments regarding paint match issue?  I've still got a deposit on the bike at my dealership, but I've explained that I won't make any decision until I've looked the bike over.  Even if it looks great, I still may wait to see what 2012 will have to offer.

They said that there Harley rep is coming on Thursday to look at it. I am in the same boat as you. I am also wondering whats instore for the 2012?

The black on my 11 changes color depending on the angle that sun light hits it.  The black varys from black to a kind of very dark crimson/purple.  Plus the metal flake in the black also changes depending on sunlight. Metal flake is green, gold or dark red.
