I dunno, maybe it is just me,

But everything you Guys are poking at seems all to good to me.... Maybe I am not that critical or give a shirt...  I read all 19 pages, and cannot find a fault I would care about... Love the colour, love the flame details, love the ice in the flames, love how it seems midnight blue metalflake in the sunshine and black in the shadows and shade...  As far as I can tell there IS NO DOWNSIDE, and only ONE real problem:  Australia is a long bloody way for them to paddle it over and I don't get mine until JULY....  Bummer... :-\

I guess its just you, because most people that are buying a $36,000 bike would care if the paint matches...I love the bike and still waiting for my local dealer to get it in but after seeing 3 of them and the paint being so off I don't for see mine being any different!!!!! When I saw these bikes there where sales manager, sales staff,  service manager and techs looking at the bikes and we where all in agreement of the paint. So at this point I know it was not just me.

It looks like we have the same taste in bikes since we both own a 2011 orange and black SG and both want the 2011 blue ultra. If mine comes in and the paint is good I will be very happy and own 2 new bikes. I just have my doubts at this point. good luck...

Hey CrazyBob,

Least I know I am not the only "Crazy" having a CVO o&b SESG AND wanting the long range CVO Ultra "BIG BLUE"....    :2vrolijk_21:

I guess from the pictures, the paint did not look that serious to me..  Maybe I should put my glasses on.  Point taken.....    And mine? It will be $50,000 here, with the $3500 in freight, $3500 in legals, Import Duty, NOT TO MENTION A FOUR MONTH WAIT!!   :soapbox:

I don't think I will turn it down for paint being a little different, maybe I will just not put on my glasses...  :-*  Course if it is off, my Dealer will probably go for having it re-painted to match it up...

Nice to know someone else is going to have the hard seat, hard cornering, stripped down Dresser, and also the big Phatt long range Tour Pack Dresser in their garage...  YOU have good tastes in bikes and colors....  If you can afford it, the WAY TO GO!!!   :2vrolijk_21:

Maybe ya'll should have bought the 2011 black ember & rio red! I don't  think there has been an issue with the paint. Do yo really know how the paint is supposed to look?  My 2011 my black ember & rio red is perfect, as I can tell. It changes color al the time . It all depends on the sun & the way you look at it. Is there a set standard on the paint on the CVO's? If so, I sure would like to see it. Good luck with your 2011.5 CVO.

Rode BB (Big Blue) today.
Sun at my back, paint popping all over.
No issues with color on mine.
Rolled over the first 140 miles and life is good.
Only have 49,820 miles to go.

rkpultrase, cool Man cool,
You have good taste, that is the exhaust, looks like V&H extractors, and it helps to extract the other cylinder as exhausts the firing cylinder...  Question:  Looks like you added the V&H and used the existing stock Mufflers with the CVO... Howzit sound?  I like mine deep and loud, so there IS NO BLIND SPOT, even if they can't see me, they FEEL me there....

I have the same exhaust on my 2011 CVO SESG, with Super Trap 0 disc mufflers opened up... And it is loud and deep, enough to get into trouble....   :innocent:  Also have the same windscreen, you must have good tastes!!!

The header is the V&H power duals, removed the stock baffle and installed Fullsac 2.25 cores in the stock cans. The sound is a low rumble at all speeds but when you get on her she really barks. Other mods are Klock Werks 8.5" dark smoke windshield, HD Race Tuner, tour pak hinges, front windshield light trim. along with other misc items. The largest change is replacing the stock contrast wheels with front and rear 18" chrome agitator wheels. I picked the bike up March 4th.

Yea!
rkpultrase you have good taste in this... I have saved the picture as I want to do up my own the same way...  I might stay with the original stock roulette wheels though...  I have the chrome agitator or look alike on my CVO Street Glide, and the chrome wheels are hard to keep clean.

I might try the black wheel base of the stocker for awhile to see if it is easier, just to wipe down the spokes a bit on the wash...  The rest of it is definitely the way to go for me, love the look...  If the black shows dirt more than the chrome, I will go for the same wheels on my SESG

Windshield is great, V&H looks good, I might just think about these Super Trap mufflers, as when you take out the disks and open up the back end plate, it is straight through and LOUD...  Backing off sounds like a Jake Brake on a truck... !!!  Your wheels I think are close to these, and luckily I can switch over mufflers and bits to see how they look before I commit to new on the CVO Ultra...

One thing more, what do you mean by "Tour Pack hinges" what am I missing on here....

You need to have a tour pack in order to need the hinges.   Got tour pack? ::)

CVOstu, talking about my 2011.5 FLHTCUSE6 coming: "Big Blue" wondering what the "Tour Pack Hinges" as a custom item means that "rkpultrase" listed as custom items on his...  I don't know what this is and might be missing something here...  :nixweiss:

Or you can do these:  http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/1766/Hinge-Covers

They look good and require no drilling out of the old hinges
