Porthole,
I've heard good things about them here on this site,  I'm not much of a cover guy (I have two and use neither).  Sounds like they squeeze down pretty tight,  but for me,  on long rides......space is at a premium (I like to have choices.....).
Good luck,

Have both and they are much better than the one that came with my banana. The travel cover is about the size of a rolled up nylon parka. Mine is shoved in my glove box in my left lower fairing. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] I really use it to hide from view any temptations a less than honest person would normally view.

I can't be sure, so I don't want to be making proclamations without real concrete evidence, BUT, from the pics on the link these covers look just like the factory rain cover I have. Nylon on the top, heat resistant material on the bottom.  I stopped using them for two reasons. A) Unless the motorcycle was completely cooled down they would cause condensation on the INSIDE of the cover and B) As Beags said, space consideration. I hate doing laundry on the road. I can get two t-shirts, two pairs of undershorts and a pair of socks in the space needed for the cover. yeah yeah yeah, no one needs to be thinking about my shorts, but we're having a discussion here. As to indoor, I don't cover my bike. It  gets cleaned whenever it's dirty and waxed every oil change. What little dust collects on it when it sits still (NOT) blows off on the road.

Yo, Beag, that's not fair you live in So Cal !

I'm planning on MB this year, so I need something to cover it up for the nights, and if all goes well we'll be leaving MB and heading west to the Smokey's on the way home. So I'm sure a cover will be necessary.

I have several friends that have these covers and they are really happy with them. Had it not been for time restraints when I needed a cover (dealer had MoCo cover in stock, and having to wait a few days to get Exigent) I would have gotten an Exigent. They fold up small, and seem to work well. A couple of my friends have used them to cover up their T-Bags (or similar style luggage) when riding as rain covers, this eliminates storage problem and also makes for a dual function cover.

Did you ever get this in hand Duane?  If so what did you think of it?

Don,

I did not order the cover. After the last post I got so busy I just forgot about it when I was near the PC so that I could order it.

And it now looks like my trip to MB is off due to some "scheduling" snafu's, not mine, others.

Maybe I'll try anyway and try and bum a room  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I did go ahead and get one right before this last trip Duane.  Turned out to be a lucky choice as the bike sat in the friend's driveway in Rockville for days in the rain.  It folds up small.  It's easy on the bike.  Seems to let the bike breathe ok.  Just worked fine.  No complaints and it got USED.  They also offered a seat only cover that works with two backrests like I have on the corbin seat when the tour paks are off.  It was only 20 bucks or so so got one of those too.
