Bill, I need Anne to talk to Vicki. Now that we're building the cabin, she won't cut loose any $$$, supprised she hasn't tried to get me to sell the bike I have! Don't sell the SED! I'd love to have it!

You mention you bought the SED new.  I can understand the sentimental value and that's why I'm having a hard time thinking about selling or trading the '04 SEEG for a '11 or '11.5 SEUC even though I'd r e a l l y like to have one.  When you have them that long, something happens to your psyche and it's hard to think of letting them go.  Plus, it's a 100th anniversary bike.  They made a crapload of silver and black ones, but only the CVOs were gold and black and that's such a classy combo, particularly on those SEDs.  I think you need to keep it and sell the SESG.  Besides, three touring bikes just don't make any sense.  At least that's what I keep telling myself ... ;)

Well let me help you out... you do know that the SEEG started this hot rod bagger look (at least from the MoCo).... the SEEG are the reason they (MoCo) came out w/SG's.... and the most important.... when you got the best... screw the rest. ;) ;D ;D

If that doesn't take his huckleberry of the market I don't know what the hell to do.

Besides, three touring bikes just don't make any sense.

Brian is completely correct there Bill.  Truer words never spoken.   2.6something is ok.  But three is just nuts.

Is the Ultra the keeper because it's the over the road bike or is it the over the road bike because it matches the trailer?  If the latter you might find yourself buying some paint later when you find that the Road Glide is tough not to ride for a distance bike when you have the option.

If the SG and the Deuce are chose between as local hoppers do the saddlebags make a difference on the Street Glide?  If so that's a decision maker.  If that's not it they're both cool bikes and the old Deuce is cheaper to maintain and insure.

So what's a guy to do?  Perhaps.....  Perhaps you should heed your wife's profound advice but only long enough to fully evaluate the options.  Such an evaluation will of course require riding each bike long enough to really fill in the data necessary to complete a full analysis.  You'll be working toward the responsible and frugal decision of selling one.  But it might take a couple years of research to reach the correct decision.

Just sayin'.....

Poll tied currently...lots of good advise but adding a fourth when i won't be shoveled out of the snow until June is a tough sell.  But keeping the SED is really easier as trade-in would be squat...but I could try to sell it of a CVOHer who would give it a good home...

I'm with Scott.

Don't read something into it that isn't there.

Have 4 bikes and if you have failed her test then your just a man and that's all the excuse you need.

I would definitely keep the SED... Extremely nice looking bike and most likely more rare than the SESG.

Then again if you like your meat well done, keep them all!  :2vrolijk_21:

But, if one must go, send away the SG.

The only reason you didn't ride the SED much last season is likely because you had the SESG to ride... The SED must feel neglected and needs some lovin'.  ;D

I voted for the SED as the sacrificial lamb. I wanted to keep my old 99 RKC but is was nice getting some off the price of the SEUC. But if money allowed I would keep the SED, it looks great and like it is fun to bar hop with. Good luck.

As one of the "nuts"...keep em all. There's nothing like having options in the garage. Besides, when you have such an intelligent woman helping you with such a complex question, how can you go wrong!  :2vrolijk_21:

can i afford to keep them all ?
do i have the room ?
if you answer yes to both problem solved
