Thanks Terry,
I am fine. 10 stitches, some bruises, scrapes and both ankles sprained but no breaks. The "armor" in my jacket did it's job...only the parts not covered got a ding. (If I had worn my good helmet there would have been no stitches...but this was a group charity ride and I wanted to look cool...

Not sure how best to post a group of pics so will just do one at a time.

This was a surprise. The pipe bracket is held on by a little 1/4-20 bolt to the case. It broke off and the case will be replaced...

Insurance covered...wanna bet my rate goes up? If they renew me....

Never did like riding in groups...Planned to drop by, leave some money and ride home...
Someone said "Start 'em up and like a lemming I went along.
Made it nearly to the end and screwed up on a curve in the North Georgia mountains.

Lucky! Escorted (GA State Patrol and The Untouchables) ride. Two local EMS units and a pickup with trailer. I was lent a trailer and a truck to haul the bike home... Nice people out there!

Did the Ga. State LEO feel the need to ticket you for anything after the accident?  Maybe the insurance co. will let you 'slide' on this 1st mishap.  Looks like that great-looking seat remains unscathed.  spyder

Insurance doesn't always go up....I had $10,000 damage to my '10 SESG when I got bumped by a stupid woman on the highway. She said she didn't see me riding next to her!!!! Anyway.....Insurance check in less than 10 days and no rate increase.

No citation from GSP. They did file a report in case it was needed for insurance.

Corbin seat survived fine...mostly covered by my butt!

This depends on many things.  If it was deemed your fault, then yes, your insurance will probably go up.  If not, then probably no.  As far as being dropped, depends on how long you've been with them and how many previous claims you've had.  If this is your first major claim, you'll more than likely be renewed.  I've been with GEICO so long now (26 years), that they have told me in writing that I'll never be dropped.  (They don't say how much they'll raise my insurance though, if I'm not a "good boy".  :nervous: )
