iPod Connector Low Volume Problem
« on: February 12, 2011, 05:51:23 PM »

Howdy All!

So I recently installed the HD iPod Interface so that I could use my iPhone as both my source for awesome tunes as well as the GPS function so that when I actually WANT to go home, I can find out how to get there.

Anyway. . .

The volume of my stereo at 70 mph + is great.  I can hear it just fine.  However, when I switch over to my iPhone interface, it is drastically lower and it is driving me nuts.  I turn the volume all the way up.  I turn the ADV (?AVD the automatic volume thing) up all the way and STILL much lower.  I've checked the volume on the phone and it is all the way up and I don't have any kind of "Max Volume Limit" set.

I'm banging my head against the fairing folks, cause I just can't get my music loud enough.

If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong or how to fix it, I would be grateful!

Thanks!

Cory

Have you tried increasing the volume of the songs in Itunes on the properties of that song? That worked for me.

I did not know that was a possibility.  But with a little playing around I found out how to do it.  Can't wait to give it a shot tomorrow!

I'll let you know if it works.  Thanks!!

Glad you figured it out....but for any others...you simply right click on the song and choose "get info" and then go to the options tab to adjust the volume and equilization of that song. Also--you can hightlight a bunch of songs and adjust volume on all of them at the same time.

I'm just jealous that you are riding to work tomorrow! Not exactly riding weather in NY yet. Gonna be 45 deg. but still a lot of snow and crap on the roads.
