I have an Airhawk I got from J&P.  I have tried all the gel pads sheepskins etc and the the Airhawk works best for me.

I've had a Butt Buffer since 2004, wouldn't go anywhere with it.
It is a little more expensive then others, but never looses it's shape.

x 2- you can always find a good Corbin, C&C (or Mustang- not my favourite) in the classifieds here, or on other forums.

Have a Mustang in the closet along with countless other motorcycle parts.  Have a dual tour Corbin on the bike.  After $1500 I could continue to buy more seats, or spend $150 on the Airhawk for those 600+ mile days and be done with it.  The OP asked about seat pads and I gave him my experience with them.

Just a comment. Each person is going to have differant comfort levels and what works well for one will not work well for another. It is a good idea if you can try differant seats (although this is difficult). This is how I chose mine. I asked lots of questions and as well talked to those that have differant types. What I found (which hit me one day while I was visiting my mother in a nursing home). I wondered how these people in wheel chairs can sit in them all day without getting figity or sore butts. A lot of these people including my mother sit on air cushions. Then I thought this must be very hot! So of I went to do some research on what they sit on. THIS IS WHAT I FOUND. She sits on the same stuff that Airhawk seat pads are made of. Well that sold me If my mother can sit on that all day without getting a sore butt then it is the one for ME.

GOOD LUCK in finding the pad that works for you there are lots of choices and great quality out there.

Get the medium Airhawk for a touring Harley. Nice fit and can't beat it for the 400+ mile days. I bought the wheel chair cushion for my wife's car. It changes her leg angle and is very comfortable.

My wife swears by her Airhawk. We ride with another couple -each has their own Airhawk, and they both swear by them. We tried a few gelpads before finding the Airhawk, but they didn't work as good.

The only drawback my wife has found, is that the internal air pressure increases as the pad gets warmer. Occasionally she has to adjust the air pressure, but other than that she really likes it.  8)
