Hard to believe.....the pictures were taken 48 hours ago.  I just heard on the news that snow will be down to 2,000 feet tomorrow.  That's only 20 miles from here! :o

Just thinking about that post reminds me of something Ernie said once that I hear while out there...

"Hey he's riding a Hardly"!!!  I laughed my azz off inside...

Same here a little over a week ago the high was 2 degrees, this week I'm riding in 50-60 degree weather! Nice pictures JC, looks like a great place to ride.

Say what?  No biscuit and gravy!  You call that breakfast there?  HA!

Hey JC, this is what Jock and I call breakfast!

It's very easy to get lost in this delta if you don't know how to read nautical maps or a GPS.

We used to water ski there every summer and got lost once with the sun going down and close to running out of gas. We managed to find a small village area with a closed Chinese restaurant, but the owner and his wife were still there and answered the door. Long story short, they took my family in, fed us, gave us gas and directions back to our camp site. The owner's family were descendants of the original Chinese laborers that built the levy system and the nicest folks you would ever want to meet. Great trip and pics and brought back some good memories.  Doc

Hey JC, this is what Jock and I call breakfast!

:huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: I expected comment on that one a lot earlier.

Actually, while it may be what some Californians consider a breakfast (you know the reputation we have in Cali......healthy), it was just a mid morning snack for me. :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks for taking us along as it was said before......Done alot of those roads also, wish I was home to join you. After being in Boston for a week, I know why the people talk about putting their bikes away for the winter. Kinda hard or dangerous to ride in ice or snow to say the least. Glad to home in sunny rainy Cali. Thanks for all the comentary as always.  :2vrolijk_21:  Jon
