Did the Stage I
« on: February 18, 2011, 01:52:30 AM »

Well... took the plunge...... Stock CVO Electra glide Ultra...... unmolested....

===>>> Fullsac, stage I -- header, 2.0 baffles and TTS.  Seems like if you increase the horsepower by 10 points on a 1000lbs bike, it should be very noticeable... same goes for torque.

I should be smiling like a 5 yr old at Christmas! or having one hell of a time!

Any advice from the ranks?

Oh.... one question..... the crossover uses the standar flat shaped pipe?  Whats with that?  How is that good or ???even bad???... ehhhh, I just want a clean running bike.

Let me know what I am up against..... that is all I ask....

Gearheadfmc, I did the same on my 09SEUC, but I used a non cat header I purchased from one of the guys on this site and 1.75 baffles. I can feel a little more exhaust coming out of the right muffler at idle, but the bike runs a lot better, still gets good mileage.I wouldn't be concerned about the flat cross over to the left side because the right side will take up the slack. I also did the HD freeflow air filter. If you do that don't buy the kit, buy the parts separate so you can get the chrome backing plate, and get the "harley air cleaner serevice gasket" to make a tight fit between your air filter cover and the air filter. There is a post on this. My bike runs great, and I am not going to make any other engine changes until something breaks. Good Luck CAHDBIKER

Does this mean you already did a stage 1 Fullsac on your bike??
I think I'm confused!
If you haven't already, check out their website: http://www.fullsac.com/sleeper-kit-110.html
I've gone beyond that a little on a few bikes here, and have to report that, yes, we now have those clean, cooler running bikes (and one trike!)

Did you change the air cleaner. If not, try the Big Sucker.

I can add this.  I bought a 2010 CVO and rode it 1000 miles before doing a Rinehart TD exhaust, a ventilator AC, and a TTS mastertune.  I loaded their stage 1 map then did the whole autotune routine.  I am very very happy with how the bike runs, how it sounds, and the power improvements are noticeable.  It also runs cooler as far as my body can tell.

As far as what you're up against, I guess that depends on which direction you go.  My direction required I change the full exhaust system which is some work.  Changing the breather was a pain in the bottom.  I had to make a special allen wrench to get to a couple of bolts in-lieu of removing the tank.

good luck

Receive the package from Steve.  Header looks great.  Took about 3 hours -- remove the old, grind the welds from the stock muffs, drill and install the new baffles, installed the header and backed-up the uploaded the new map.  I got the 2" baffles.

Did not get to take it for a spin as it is raining like a ......   but, it is quite a bit louder than stock!

But, with the old system when I blipped the throttle, the bike would choke out..... the new system, winds-up nice.

We'll see tomorrow....

So....ran around for about 150 miles -- a fair amount of stop-n-go and a good piece of highway as well.

Bike runs cooler..... that's good.

Seat dyno says a very noticeable improvement in TQ/HP beginning at 2800.... and up .... nice and strong at 3800-4400.  Still seems a bit sluggish from 1000-2750....

I downloaded the Fullsac Stage I.  Maybe for my bike, the maps needs just a little more tweak.

Noise level with 2.0" baffles pretty  loud.  NOT as loud as my FatCat,  Quiet Baffle was on my 95"...... But cruising at 70mph is completely tolerable and can clearly hear the radio.

Wonder if my mileage will increase from 35mpg......?  Time will tell.

Going on a 1500 mile cruise in 3 days so....

All in all, I'd recommend this simple improvement package to anyone that asked -- looks good, sounds good, runs good and is easy to install!
