Not sure what you mean by pull out connector, but there is a headset connection for the passenger, as well as a passenger headset volume/PTT button.

From my bill:
70169-06 Non-Ultra overlay harness: $129.95
77107-09 Intercom kit: $399.95
3 hours labor

Also needed was a download, for which I wasn't billed, and 2 headsets to suit your needs.  Mine were 77117-10 @ $189.95 each.

Big Lew,

You should probably check with the service department to confirm what was installed.  I suggest that because the 77107-09 kit comes with the harness for connecting everything w/o use of the non-Ultra overlay harness (NUOH), p/n 70169-06.  The NUOH is used on the 77108-09 kit which is what I have on my bike with the CB.

Said another way, if they installed the 77107-09 kit, they shouldn't have used the NUOH and you shouldn't have been charged for it since all of the connections to the HK radio needed are in the 77107-09 kit and the NUOH isn't needed.  In fact, if they installed the 77107-09 AND the NUOH, they had to spend a fair amount of time to adapt the harness included with the kit to work with the NUOH.

The product descriptions for the two kits are in this link and note that the NUOH, p/n 70169-06 is referenced in the 77108-09 kit, but not for the 77107-09 kit.  You can confirm the absence of the NUOH in the installation instructions in the 77107-09 kit:

Sawyerghost,

If you plan to add CB, XM, NIM, Ipod interface, etc., go with the 77108-09 kit since all of those use the NUOH.  It lists for $379 ($20 less than the 77107-09 kit) but you'll need the NUOH that lists for $129 and you'll probably be charged for the intercom flash since it's not included with the 77108-09 kit as it is with the 77107-09 kit.  If you use the 77107-09 kit now, and later decide to add XM, NIM, etc., you'll probably find that the harness included in that kit will need to be modified to use these other devices that are intended for use with the NUOH.

Said another way, if you want to maintain flexibility to easily add the other audio accessories (CB, XM, NIM, etc.), go with the 77108-09 kit, buy/use the NUOH, and adding the other audio accessories will be plug and play; trying to add these to the 77107-09 kit will not be plug and play.

Big Lew, and Pingman,
I have purchased the kit 77107-09 among other items from dealer.........Not planing on using the CB or XM anytime.
Another concern that I have which is ony for appearance is the 7 pin plug which calls to be installed next to the console.
How do you like the way this looks?
The dealer states tht they cannot purchase Console Padd Assembly by itself, it only comes with control switch, and speaker switch....which I will already have since it comes with the Intercom Kit.

Your thoughts since you have it installed :nixweiss:

For the pre-'09 bikes, installing the rider headset connection required use of the shorter tank console.  The BAMI kit's separate rider headset conntion allowed retention of the longer chrome tank console.  With the '09 and newer bikes, that's no longer an issue.

I think your dealer is wrong on the tank console connection option.  You ought to personally look at the Touring parts book for your model year and compare the part nos. associated with the tank console for the Ultra and your bike to identify what, if any differences there are apart from the headset connection and buy what you need.  Also, since you bought the intercom kit, there should not be a charge for the dealer download/flash from the Digital Technician--the charge is included in the price of the kit.

If you use the headset connection supplied in the kit, mount it close to the front of the seat.  It will be less conspicuous.  A "plus" with the tank mounted connection is that it puts the connection closer to you so the headset cord has more slack.  I have not problems cosmetically or otherwise with the tank mounted connection, and it's out of the way since it basically hangs down the front of your jacket to your lap instead of being plugged into the tank console well forward of you.

Steve,

Forgot to ask if you did or didn't buy the non-Ultra overlay harness, p/n 70169-06, that Big Lew apparently bought for his installation.  I ask because the 77107-09 kit doesn't specifically refer to the need for the NUOH, while the kit I used, 77108-09 does.

Carl,
I did not only for the reason, I just do not think I will be using the CB. or XM feature, had it on theh 08FLHTCUSE3 and really did not use it that much.
Thanks for your direction,
