Hey,

I just spoke with George today, hes down in Lakeland Fla. 309 896-0952 bought mine $175 and it will ship Wednesday.  Great guy, he said he doesn't take credit cards, just send him a check.  A guy that does business with a handshake.  Not too many of them left!!

He is the only guy I have ever dealt with that will send your product BEFORE he receives your check. He is A 1 in my book.

Easiest mod I've done. Easy, easy, easy. Would take longer to take pics than to install. Need two people to make it really easy. I have armrests and theres no problem!!!!

A friend of mine's wife is 5'1" and she hates it all the way back, seems her legs rest
in the crash bars, so she's not a happy camper. Just my 2 cents.

Hmm.. my wife is close to having that problem. We have the articulated passenger floorboard mounts on the FLTRUSE so they are adjusted all the way up. That works and she gets the extra room from the relocator.

If a BSR has both short legs and a large girth, I could envision problems.

My wife is 6' so she would need to have the 2.5"  for the leg room....

Good day.

I also purchased the relocator kit from George but it seems my installation didn't go as well as others.
I didn't want the leather CVO tour pack and instead purchased a 2008 FLHTCUI pack for my '06 scoot.
Install the relocator with no pack on the bike and the relocator was finally mounted after some pulling and tugging.
1 of the holes did not line up too well.
Then it cam time to mount the '08 tour pack. No tour pack holes lined up. I even thought I might have installed the relocator wrong but that's almost impossible to do. However, with my mechanical skills anything is possible.
Phoned George; and after going over the details and knowing that I had done things correctly, relaized I had to drill new mounting holes in the bottom of the tour pack.
The other issue I had, moving the tour pack back to gain the greatest distance, was the antenna leads now were too short and there was not enough slack either from the bike or tour pack to make up for the difference. Now that's another job; and so on and son on...

Just wanted to say; at least in my case, this job tested my patience......

Here you go, 2.5" set back for George Anderson relocator.  Definately a visual difference, separates the speaker pods from the back of the seat so you can remove and put the seat back on without manuvering it around the pods.  Also, easier to clean the fender area under the tourpack.  Very happy, took 10 minutes to install with someone holding the tourpack up while i slid the locator under and lined it up.  Love it!

Sounds like your problems were caused when you tried to mount a tourpak that was not original equipment for that particular bike. When you do things such as that, you have to make modifications sometimes. Sounds like everything worked out ok in the end. You should be able to get extensions for the cables, maybe from radio shack or someone on-line.

I don't know why George's relo kit wouldn't work with the detachable tour pak bracket.  The holes should line up just like the fixed bracket, so you should be able to use it.
