Please provide your hidden antenna exerpiences
« on: February 19, 2011, 11:07:46 AM »

I'd like to go this route but after searching the topic it appears the results are mixed. Sounds like the "currently challenged" radio reception could worsen with a hidden antenna.  Could those of you with experience let me know which one you recommend or not recommend?
I'll be removing the fairing to replace the bars and speakers so I might as well do it while the shark nose is off.

I use the TuneTrapper.  Works ok.  Almost as good as the whip on my bike.  None are great.  It's a trade-off for appearance.

I have tried 2 different options....

1)  Powered internal radio antenna... bought at harley shop but wasnt a harley item....    It sucked!!!!!   Cost me 90.00  trash

2)   Tunetrapper....   much much better   alomost as good as whip.   I sold my SEUC and still have it if you are intrested.

Thanks
Mike

Appreciate it electra88.  I've bout made up my mind to just keep the whip, if I'm gonna upgrade the audio  then I'll definitely need a radio station to hear it.
Thanks again.
