I have a lot of oil analysis in my files. It is a hobby of mine.
Some oils I have sent in to Blackstone Labs for analysis and others I have received from
Oil nuts like me. You can also find a number of oil analyses done on the Website. WWW.Bobistheoilguy.com
I believe that is where the MMO analysis came from.
I have such a number of them it's hard to remember where or who they came from.
I can assure you they are most accurate.

How does it differ from ATF ?

MMO is nothing more than a carrier oil, some solvents, and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
The mineral spirits are just there as the solvent vehicle, just like kerosene is the solvent vehicle for WD-40. The solvent carrier slowly evaporates at ambient temperatures leaving the oil residue behind for lubrication.
ATF contains ingredients to improve its oxidation stability as well as other additives to reduce foaming and inhibit corrosion. ATF also can withstand a higher temperature than MMO

Its nice to know there is a difference cause even among mechanics there is a debate sometimes on what the difference is between the two. Some folks think its just repackaged ATF.

I believe SeaFoam is available in Canada. It would be compareable to MMO.

How bout gettin a friend to buy you some at an auto parts store and ship it to you , or call one yourself and have it shipped. Is that legal or will they not let it into the country at customs?

I went across the border to visit Marty in Niagra Falls last summer and they searched my bike pretty good and my spare gallon of gas and a few quarts of oil in the bags made it through ok, so I guess it would be ok. Doc

Last time I went across was at Jackman Maine. They didn't search eithe me or Bubba_T We went inside and they asked us a few questions, had us sign a form and - - oh yeah, I coughed up one of the two cans of Police strength pepper spray I had my saddlebags voluntarily. The agent told me if I bought "Bear Spray" instead of stuff intended for people I could have kept it. Bears that can outrun my CVO  ???  Oh my  :'(
