Does your Owners Manual address this?  That would be my first location to look.....if that doesn't work, either call or visit the dealer.

I believe it goes solid when the bike is first turned off (maybe 60 seconds) and then it starts flashing once the security system is active.  Can't confirm for sure.....I'm at work.  But if I remember right, that's the way it works. :nixweiss:

At times mine will stay solid on my 2007 SERK.  I cycle the ignition switch and it corrects itself.  I have also noticed when I pull into the garage and trigger the light on the garage door opener it will sometimes turn the light on?  Again if I cycle the ignition switch it will work as it should.
