Now, unless Harley just bought up McKewan's stock (which doesn't seem correct because the faces and numbering look a little different from his--a closer match to the stock spun gauges), why the heck would MoCo use the wrong needles and cases for these gauges? I mean, it should take the same needle as used on the other small spun aluminum gauges, as well as on the white faced ones, it appears. I just don't get it--why produce an item designed to match your existing line, when it doesn't match your existing line? Oh yeah, it's H-D. I forgot.
I'm curious as to whether the production version of these oil temp gauges is going to be correct, even though the picture isn't. Hopefully someone here will get to take a look at one soon and let us know.
