Now, unless Harley just bought up McKewan's stock (which doesn't seem correct because the faces and numbering look a little different from his--a closer match to the stock spun gauges), why the heck would MoCo use the wrong needles and cases for these gauges?  I mean, it should take the same needle as used on the other small spun aluminum gauges, as well as on the white faced ones, it appears.  I just don't get it--why produce an item designed to match your existing line, when it doesn't match your existing line?  Oh yeah, it's H-D.  I forgot.

I'm curious as to whether the production version of these oil temp gauges is going to be correct, even though the picture isn't.  Hopefully someone here will get to take a look at one soon and let us know.

I'm with Jeff, if the MOCO went to this trouble of making it, why isn't it exactly like our other gauges?   Looking at Porthole's picture of Roger's gauge, the MOCO gauge is better looking and closer to a match.  Heck, it even says Harley Davidson Motor Co on it.

Actually, I think I need not only the dry bulb air temp gauge that comes with my new SE, but need to add a wet bulb temp as well....that way, I can calculate the relative humidity in the air, which will let me know how badly my ass is going to sweat when I'm sitting at a redlight at 2:00PM in the month of July...in Alabama.  Oh...forgot...it's always 95% that time of year, which means I will be sitting in a puddle....even if I ride naked.

I've been working on the chrome mount for the BigD, the gauge is self emptying.
