Florida Harley Dealers Passport Tour
« on: March 04, 2011, 07:55:13 AM »

The Florida Dealers Association came up with this idea last year. Tour all the dealers in the group and get your book stamped with a ticket to win a trip to Milwuakee.
Visit them all and get double chances. I did it last year and actually won $25!! What a great return on a several hundred dollar investment.
Being a slow learner, I just completed this year's tour, which included the Tifton, Georgia shop (?) and the new boutique store in Key West. I finally remembered to take the camera this time and got just a few pic's.
By the way there are thirty-two dealers involved and Florida is a huge state!!
This particular leg of the tour I went to Stuart and down through Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Sunrise, N. Miami, S. Miami, Key West, back up to Naples and Fort Myers and home. Last week I went to Tallahasee, Tifton, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Daytona, New Smyrna, Cocoa Beach and Palm Bay. The rest I went to on variuos little day trips.

This sign authenticates the previous post.
This place is on the Tamiami Trail (US 41) between Miami and Naples in the middle of the Everglades.

Enjoyed seeing green grass and people in shorts and t-shirts. Keep the photos coming. It gives us some hope here up north.

Two useless facts.

That Southern most point monument, isn't really at the southern most point.
Four corners monument in CO,NM,UT,NV is not where the states meet.

duranh,
Jeez, I'm crestfallen. I feel like you peed in my Cheerios, told me there's no Santa and the tooth fairy is really gay!
What gives? I was just sharing some of my good fortune with the snow-bound. Oops, maybe you're a little bitter from still having winter in California?

Nice pics, shortdog. I got the same response when I showed some pics I had in that location. I believe that the sign says that it is the southernmost point in the continental United States. Key West is an island and therefore not part of the continental United States. I'd say you got busted on a technicality.

Hawaii has the southernmost point in the U.S.

Here's a riddle for you, what state(s) has the northern-most, eastern most, and western-most points?

Answer below

Alaska has all three.  The north and west are self-explanatory.  The east is actually in the Alutian Islands.  They extend so far to the west that they actually go into the Eastern hemisphere, therfore they are esat of us!!
