Actually, it started out relatively warm, and kept getting warmer. We had just stripped off all extra layers when we finally hit a spot where it felt cold, but this only lasted for about 5 miles or so.
Looks colder than it was because of the snow laying around, but I would say it probably started out in the high 50s and maybe topped out around mid 70s. Although, when we did hit a pocket of cold air, it felt like it was around 40.
Everytime we stopped, it was hard to decide whether to take something off or put something else back on.

I packed extra gear because I didn't know if it was going to be hot, cold, dry, or raining. Turns out it was a mixture of everything and made for a great 250 mile ride.
