XM Radio Antenna
« on: April 21, 2006, 09:00:16 AM »

I am thinking of getting rid of my long whip antenna and replacing it with a 12v antenna that mounts in the Tour Pack of my 06 UCSE!!!

My question is...

Has anyone done this and if so, has it worked well with the XM Radio?

The 2 whip antenna's are the radio and cb, the XM antenna is in the fairing on top of the radio, I replaced both the whips with these, they are from eglidegoodies.com they work great. Hope this helps

Thanks...it is nice to see the picture since you have the exact same bike that I have! Your right, those do look nice, I was not aware of the XM Antenna being in the fairing...that is good news!

Have you had any problems or noticed any loss in performance with these shorter stubs?

Here are a couple of links for your answer......if you want to use the CB try the Freedom Antennas also.

I like the Freedom Antennas since I would like to use the CB...I tried to follow the link and I could get anywhere except to see a picture of the item. When I tried to go back or home or anything it wouldnt let me go anywhere.

I went to FreedomCyclereno.com to try and find it there and again I couldnt find the same antenna kit...nor anything close to it. Does anyone have any idea where I can get one of these Freedom Kits that have the FM/AM Shorty and the CB Shorty?
