Big Black Cow

We came home late last Sunday after a nice 230 miler and the wife was in the lead on the last road of two miles before getting to the house. Over the top of a hill and into a right hander she swerves a little left. At the same time I see why and buzz right past the ass of a big black cow. I am glad we missed her but was also surprised that she never moved when the wife's bike blasted by her. God protects many more times than we realize I expect.

I always am on the lookout for deer but now I have to add cows to the mental list. Let's review the list again. I have nearly hit them all.

Old ladies
old men
young people in cars and trucks
other bikers
deer
skunks
opossum
turkeys
bear
turtles
squirrels
dogs
cats
coyotes
horses
and now cows >:(

I've hit small birds, but on the way to Nelson British Columbia, Don (Isellbulls) hit a hawk!  Major mess!

Right there with ya, big Blackbird hit my boot while I was streched out on the highway peg. Kept finding feathers for a long time on the old Road King.  :nixweiss:

I'm another person who encountered a bird on one of my trips. Aerodynamically sucked around my fairing and knocked himself out on my shin and then fell to the road. That happened to be at about 90mph and hurt for quite a while. Bird didn't have a chance.

1 hawk, 2 small birds and a Condors wing that just grazed my head. Hit a cow that was standing on an MX track on my dirt bike years ago. The cow won. Glad you guys missed her!

A pheasant is a good size bird but damn fine eatin.

A junebug to the forehead and a bee in the helmet to the ear are my worst actual impacts.

My close encounter with the large black dog that turned out to be a bear was the most interesting.

DesertHOG I have never had a near miss with a child-yet.

 We were at a GTG, we were riding in a group. We hit a swamp of bee's and I forget who it was but the passenger yells at the rider " be a man !!!!, stop duckin your head "
