Yep, got a little over 17K on now and fixing to have a GREAT summer! I just changed the back tire to an Elite 3. So far it feels alright, but we'll be able to tell more in a couple of weeks after coming back from the Ozarks.

That's pretty amazing Fired00d. I get at very best 10k out of a back tyre, though I'm guessing it's down maybe to our road types and surfaces, or our type of riding being so different. (i.e, with a lot of twisty country roads, I do a lot more accelerating...)

From what I've read/been told/understand in '04 Dunlop changed something in compound of tires, and they are supposed to have longer tread/mileage life. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] As you stated riding style/road conditions will make a difference in this also.

Interesting you should say that. The Lops (have to say - never been a Lop lover on Harleys in the UK!) I imported from the US to get narrow ww on the Cuse are definitely.... "different" in rubber from my earlier CUI ones; for one thing the rubber on the ww strip is whiter and stays cleaner. Time will tell what mileage they do.

Most certainly....I only get about 8K out of a rear....did the same on my '04 Ultra also....I have poor riding habits....I take off hard...brake hard....and don't mind a wheelie or burnout now and then...or more.... [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
