AVON VENOM TIRES -- YES !
« on: April 22, 2006, 12:48:14 PM »

Put Avon Venoms on the 06 CVO Ultra -- JEEZ WHAT A DIFFERENCE from the stock Dunlops.  Highway riding is now almost as smotoh as my Gold Wing was !!!  Low speed handling and evasive maneuvers are much more stable.  Thanks to all who rcommended.  DREBBIN

We had one guy actually not buy the bike because of that feeling, mine felt like that too.  When I changed the rear tire at about 8000 miles it went away (same type Dunlop that came on it), could of been a bad tire I guess, but the bike felt alot better after that.  I've got the Ride-Str8 on now and the feeling is completely gone, bike is rock solid at any speed on the superslab.  New tires will probably help, regardless of brand.

Trying to decide what brand and size tire to put on my 06 street glide. I was hopeing to go up to a 150 but I guess that might not be a good idea if you were to have a blowout. From what I understand your tire could possibly lock up under those conditions. Also, the 150 dunlap doesn't have the right weight rating for a touring bike. What size venom tire did you install? what is it's weight rating? Appreciate any input, since I've got a nail in my 140 dunlap, original equipment.
