AMSOIL ???
« on: March 25, 2011, 06:50:44 AM »

 Any opinions on Amsoil ?
I have been doing some oil research for my yet to come in FLHXSE2.
I know oil is a deep topic, Thought I'd ask.
I'm meeting with a Amsoil rep next week to possibly become a dealer
threw my body shop.
Wanted to start out my new bike on it. My research shows it beating H-D 3
hands down. H-D also reports that it will not impose on the warranty. However
don't imagine the Stage III set up right out of the box will do much for my warranty. :P

If you do a search you'll find lots of us use it in the motor. I've used it for several years and I'm plenty satisfied w/ it.  :2vrolijk_21:

 Thanks Screamin
All the numbers looked good, just wanted to make sure what i was reading wasn't produced solely by Amsoil.

I think the majority of the members here use either Amsoil, Mobil 1 or Redline vs. Syn 3.

Think I'll add a poll to this thread if you don't mind.....just curious.

Thing with Amsoil is everyone becomes a dealer. I did it when I was switching out to synthetics for the truck

Used it in the bike for awhile. Just use Mobil 1 now. Cheaper and as good or better.

For me I use an Amazon Prime account. So for the most part I have been getting cases of Mobil 1 for under $60 delivered.
Problem with oil is UPS and others tack on a HazMat fee for a non HazMat item!

Amazon, using a prime account does not.

I use HD Syn 3 just because I can pick it up at any dealer... but I really think there are much better options out there.

Been using Amsoil for years and recently switched to Redline.....seems to shift smoother with the Redline in the primary and trans.

We refuse to participate in the pyramid scheme with Amsoil, that would allow every person on the face of the planet to be a dealer, for a $10.00 fee.
We carry Red Line here for clients that want synthetic engine oil.
