I forgot to add that the zepp is broken in essentially immediately.  It will take a couple of trips to get the air bladders adjusted to your liking, but once done- that's it.  Pretty simple.

Posted before under another seat thread; I had a Mustang on my 96 RK and loved all 56k miles I put on it. 750 mile day produced no monkeybutt. Comfortable right off the shelf. The rider backrest was the greatest, you can adjust up, down, forward, back, and tilt. Just adjusting the tilt during a ride is like changing positions in a chair.   http://www.mustangseats.com/hdcontst.htm  $479 + $180 for passenger pad.  Even sent a love letter to them and they sent us 2 free t-shirts.

I'm still using the stock seat, haven't had a chance to go over 70 miles at a sitting, but so far it fits my buttcrack OK.  I'll haveta sit on the wife's RK Mustang again. She wants to try the seeg, anyway...  [smiley=nervous.gif]

As crazy as it may sound - one of the best seats I have ever had was a "Sundowner" from the Motor-Co on my Fatboy.

The seat on the DarkTeal-LightTeal was ok (the Black and Orange CVO's seat for some reason was worse) - guess we will see how this seat is on the Autum Haze bike but so far pretty happy and the best of the CVO Electra Glides I have so far owned...  ;D

I still run the stock seat/w adjustable backrest for most rides, but for longer runs I use a sheepskin. It is  alittle softer but most of all it lets some air in there.  No more monkey butt.  Misty Mountain is just down the road from me,  I paid like 55+ tax, http://www.sheepskinannex.com/products.asp.  They do most of the major bike events.
Its a cheaper way to go over a 300.00 to 700.00 seat.

I have the Mustang dual touring seat.  When it is hot and we are on a long ride I use a custom made sheepskin.  More comfortable and no 'swamp crotch"

BigDaddy, I just checked the file on the wife's 04 RK... we bought the stock seat, but since we had the backrest from her Low Rider, they credited it and called it a 'custom' with no number...great folks to deal with.  [smiley=thumbup.gif]
Anyway, I believe this is it:  " 79100 - Road King, Road King Classic '97-up & FLHT/FLTR/FLHR Screamin' Eagle 1997-05 & FLHX 2006
Width - 16"  $479
79110 - 13.5" Wide Plain Recessed Seat  $180 "
But on my RK and the wife's, we used the stock RK passenger seat, since neither of us carry a passenger. She's ridden on it a couple of times, and had no complaints, but that was for shorter trips.
That's the one I'll probably get for my 04 seeg... if I could just quit spending money on OCD/SEO stuff.
I loved it the first time I sat on it on a friend's bike in 1999.

Skipper,

I got mine w/ passenger backrest on Ebay for $500.  Definately worth it [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  HOWEVER, $800 for the seat alone, don't think so.  Plus the front sits on top of the tank console (I didn't care) and is way too big in the A$$ if you don't use a tourpak.

I'll have to agree. I put a Sundowner on my '01 Ultra and i couldn't believe the difference. The wife thought it was great too. I had a Corbin on my Vrod and I didn,t like it. Too hard. ;D

This isn't a diss so don't take it as such.
What's the most mileage you put on either seat in any one day ?

IMO opinion, the Corbin isn't fully appreciated on a 200 mile day. What you call hard becomes just right about the time every other seat out there has squished to the seat pan. I don't use the Corbin for anything other than long trips. The stock 03 SERK Seat is great for regular every day riding. My wife prefers the Corbin because her portion of the seat is more - - - what was it she said ?

The thing about a Corbin is you don't have to think about how far you're going to ride- once its set it just works....IMNSHO [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif]

Big Brian, yah, that's the same "word" ;D ;D my wife used...... Generous.......

The Zepplin squishes down at about 100 miles.  Then I flicks on the left aux switch, applies a little squirt of air to ones of three zones, and no more squishage [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] .  Most I've ridden it so far is about 300 miles, but have a trip to Phoenix then on to Nellis AFB, a.k.a. Vegas ;), then back home via Mom's in Barstow.  Now that trip will prove or disprove how good the seat really is.  More on that at the end of May.  But hey, for $500 on ebay, I couldn't pass up the opportunity.  Nasty Habit has one on his SERK and loves it, so thought I'd try.

Oh by the way, I have to find some coconuts for the skipper to make a radio [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]
