I guess it just shows that tastes differ. I have the Monster rounds on my 110 along with Power Duals and they are too quiet for my preference. I don't want something obnoxious, been there done that, just something with some growl when I roll on. They are nice and deep but lack that growl.

On the plus side, you can be cruising at 80 and still here the stereo fine so they have that going for them.

Did you sell them or keep them?

Bryan

I did sell them. I ended up modifying the stock mufflers with 2" CVO Fullsac cores. Had only put a couple hundred miles on them before winterizing but am very happy with the sound now.

So what is one the short list to replace the monster rounds?

I got the V&H Dresser Duals and put on the Monster Rounds - I love the sound... Its quiet enough to creep out of the neighborhood early in the morning without disturbing everyone, and they have fantastic sound once I lay in the power.  I don't feel they are too loud at all!

Sounds like we have the same tastes, so I think you would like the Rinehart 4"- they definitely have growl  :2vrolijk_21:

What's interesting is that I had the Monster Rounds with the Power Duals on a 2011 FLTRU and loved the sound. When I bought the FLTRUSE and had the pipes moved over to the new bike, the sound was totally different. On the non-SE, it was perfect for me - smooth, mellow, super-deep and not loud. But on the 110 motor, it was a completely different sound. It was loud, but not in a good way. At least, not to my ears. Just plain loud with no pleasing attributes.

The Fullsac cores sound good, but I miss the sound of the V&H!
