2011 CVO ULTRA - Rider comfort issue
« on: April 08, 2011, 09:08:59 AM »

Need some help here please!
Just got 2011 ultra and found passenger not comfortable
with the rider backrest on. Is there a way to get additional
room in the back? Passenger legs dig into rider backrest and
would be unbearable on long rides.

Thanks!!

You can move purchase a relocation kit for the tourpak that will move it back an inch or so.

Thank you for that. I'll check with HD. An inch would help.
We were so excited about the bike untill I had to put my
backrest on....... Trouble started!

Anyone wanting to purchase a Tour Pack Relocation Bracket/Kit from George Anderson. You will need to call his cell phone. George told me because of poor service from his land line provider he canceled it and is no longer in service. His address listed in other posts on this forum are still correct.

The tour pack may not have come from the factory in the position that is furthest aft.  You can remove the TP liner and see the extra holes that are there.  It's easy to move it (4 bolts), but it's best to have an extra set of hands.  If it's all the way back, contact George Anderson.  :2vrolijk_21:

I'm surprised anyone would use the rider backrest with a passenger. Gotta be tough for them to get on...and off. It is the first thing I remove when my wife rides.

I don't know about now, but in the past the bikes with TP's were shipped with the TP in the most forward position and the dealer is/was supposed to move it back to the proper holes.  Check that first...you'd be surprised how much difference an inch or so can make.

Call George and get a bracket. You will be glad you did. Money well spent. A lot of us have the bracket installed. Great product, great guy!
