I know that this topic has been beaten around on many occasions, but I blew on of my front speakers and need to replace them.  I do have the Hawg Wired 60 watt amp, but anyone with thoughts is appreciated.

I have the plug n play amp from hawg wired also.  I blue out a pair of their matching speakers as well.  I went over to Best Buy and found Polk Audio 51/4" marine grade speakers that were rated app 75 watts and they were 4 ohm which you really need.  They cost only 75.00 and they sound great.   Loud and very clear.  Give em a try.   I wouldn't go back to the HW after using these.

Good suggestion on the Polk audio.  Marine speakers are waterproff & will work.

If you want something a little larger than stock heard these 6.5 speakers By Fosgate - Punch - & they sounded GREAT!  Need an adpapter to make them fit.  Call them for info if you are interested.

After hearing some other speakers out there, I really think the HW are over rated.  Jmho.   ::)

Thanks for the advise, as far as I'm concerned, the HW speakers never really did it for me.  I'll look into your suggestions.

For what it's worth... I have the complete 8 speaker HogTunes set-up on my bike and love it!

Sound is amazing, and Pez (the owner of HogTunes) is a super guy to deal with.

What model did you purchase?  Been looking to replace the speakers in my SERG.

I'm looking (online at least at the Polk Audio MM 5251).  I'll have to take a closer look but has anyone installed these yet??

OK fellas,
    I've done a little more online BS, It looks like the Polk set get's my vote.  With ave. impedance at 2.7, eff @92db and a size the will fit in the batwing, I think that I have to give them a shot.  Any thoughts???  I always value the input from this forum as it has in the past saved me lots of $$$ when trying something new (usually at the expense of others {sorry and thanks}). Help is appreciated.

Something else to consider, with the RG you can go to a regular marine 6.5" with Yaffe's adapters (39.95). you will love those Polk speakers...   I think the polk model # you mentioned is a kit that includes an amp..  You won't need their amp if you have the Haw Wired amp..  Just get the 4ohm speakers..  you will be good to go..  I had to make wire connections for them,   the terminals off the speakers were smaller than the stock ones..

I pulled out the box they came in.   
DXI525 is the model number.   Best buy has em.  75.00 for the pair.    Worth it!
