Does anyone know if the new amp is different? I realize the pn was superceded just wondering if it is the same 100 watt. Hadheard earlier that maybe it would be the 2012 unit  :nixweiss:

Hey Ranger....do you have a part number for this NEW amp.

H.D. came out with a new amp not too long ago and just wondering if it is the same one.

Well I picked up my ride today and to no surprise the problem was not solved. They spent about 6 hours on the bike and the found some crushed wires between the housing and batwing and an open wire to the radio. :o. They made some repairs but now i am worried. Did the bike leave York with a messed up harness or has this happened with all the times the bike has been going in for repairs or service. I have never removed the tank but i have removed the faring. I will have to talk to the service guys on Monday but from what i was told at this point they would like to have the bike back during the winter when things are slow and they have more time to go over the wiring.

I still say AMP. :nixweiss:

With all the nice weather i decided i wanted to get as much riding in as i can. The dealership will be taking my ride when things slow down and spend more time on it. They are convinced that it is a wiring problem and they want to go over all wiring including the harness. I agreed but this will be there last kick at the can. If they do not make it right i will move on and install the J & M ROKKER series 500w kit. I have already found a shop that sells it here in Toronto. I will be going to talk to someone today about the install.

New amp in and working like a treat, my dealer was very surprised to have the new amp sent to him so quickly after he diagnosed the problem.

FWIW, that's the same part no. for the amps used on the 2012 CVO SG's.

Took mine in yesterday. The left side speakers started cutting out back in July. With the season winding down, I'll ride the SERKs while they repair (warranty)
- The sound system
- Faded speaker grilles (lowers)
- Rust stains on the swing arm
- Flaking chrome on the front Contrast Agitator wheel

Jeff, I bet your glad you have that purty RK.  You might get lucky and get it done right on the amp side
of things since it looks like they might be switching to the 12 model.  Hope all goes well and for the rest of
the #hit ERRRRRRRR

I'm so impressed with the QC on my new SESG. I'm glad I didn't listen to myself and not buy a "new" HD..... NOT!
None of this stuff is a big deal, just irritated I put myself in a position to have to deal with it. Back to the SERK. LOL!

doesn't sound to me like a mass problem but rather, why would the dealer stock something so new that shouldn't need replaced yet?  i'm sure HD will get ya one within a week.  mine  hasn't skipped a beat.......i love this friggin' setup!

Humm.......looks to me like a mass problem now. Who would have known that this would have turned out like this when this thread was started. :nixweiss:

After waiting 2 weeks get get into the shop and another 4 weeks for the amp to come in i'm in the same boat as you, 3 days and the Right side speakers are cutting out again. Problem solved.
Sony DSX-200 with HawgWired install kit
Alpine 6 1/2 Type R Components for the Batwing
Hertz 6 1/2 for the lowers
Now I'm just waiting on the new Biketronics amp and I'll really be Rockin'

Get the setup from an installer at a bike night. I hope mine sounds as good as his.
