Just finished mods for the upcoming year, first ride 200 miles today 20 deg C.

Saddlebags              88237 07 slight mod to stays.
Sundowner seat       52271 09
Removable backrest 
Flamed windshield   Ebay
All comes off in 3 mins.

LED rear light with indicators (Zodiac)
Digital speedo

Bring it on

Looks great HarleyDave, I like the bags.  I just can't seem to bring myself to cover up all that chrome with the bags yet but looks great.  Very creative relocation of the rear turn signals.

The bike looks great, especially when you can strip it down to look clean if you want.  I am trying to do the exact same thing to mine but dealing with the H-D part system is proving difficult.  I've hit a wall trying to find detachable bags to fit my 09 and H-D has told me that I'm out of luck.  However, it seems as though you've pulled it off.  What did you have to mod to make them work and how exactly did you do it?  I've already installed the detachable sissy bar and docking hardware (painful, since my Torx bolts stripped out and I had to drill them) and I'm trying to figure out which bags to get and how I am going to mount them.  Any info you can provide would be great.  Thanks.

Ive attached a few pics showing the saddlebag mods and positions of stabiliser and locking bolts.
You need to lose the rear flashers.
Pics show double detachable kit.
A good metal worker can heat up the rods on the saddlebags and bend/cut them to fit    Easy!!!!
