The look on BIG BLUE Ultra seems better to me with the Dresser Duals..  I have the Power Duals on an FLHXSE2, and they do dyno better than most exhausts...

On my FLHTCUSE6 coming, I am liking the Dresser Duals look better for Big Blue coming, anyone know what power I lose with the Dresser Duals?  They do not have a crossover at all...  Is there much at stake going with them over the Power Duals?

Boy did I get a lousy answer from Vance and Hines Technical...

Like a one liner, "You will notice a difference in the low to mid range"....  Duh, must have been Sherlock there...  I ask for actually technical data that surely they would have, in terms of horsepower...  I can tell you, we do a better job of answering loyal Clients in my Business.  I have had V&H on three HDs, and told them that, anyway I sent an email back asking if they could do a better job of quantifying than that, and the reasons for my upcoming decision:

It told they I have had the Power Duals on the last three bikes, but they don't look as good on a full Dresser, and they also drag when hauling hard on the curves... Great pipes, highest on the Dyno, but I want to go Dresser Duals this time for the classy look IMO....  I will Post their answer, if they give one.. Seems like many Companies forget the most important thing these days: CUSTOMER SERVICE... Duh...  :soapbox:

I will put the question to Sales as well as Technical, and see if I get a better answer...

Here it is, I sent this to Sales, Info, and Technical, addresses at V&H

Hello V&H,
Loyal Customer here,

Had the Power Duals on a HD Road King, and an Ultra…  And now have them on a CVO 110 cu in Street Glide..

My next bike is a 2011.5  FLHTCUSE6, the CVO Dresser, the new big Blue one…110 Screaming Eagle …  I am considering the Dresser Duals over the Power Duals for looks.  How much performance do I lose?   The Power Duals Dyno the best here in Australia, but I want the Dresser Duals for looks if I do not lose much performance…

Thinking the Monster Ovals with them, are they 4” ?  And can I open up the back of them a little?

Thank you for the answers, xxxxxxx  xxxxxxxxxx

Well I got an answer back from V&H,

On the Power Duals vrs Dresser Duals that I think would look better on the CVO Ultra...  They said:

You will lose 3 horse power by choosing the Dresser Duals over the Power Duals.

 The Monster Ovals are 4.5”x5.5”.

I can live with that, 3 HP and the Monster Ovals would look good under the boxes if I cannot mod the stock mufflers... 8)

Brother Slope,

For Heavens sakes: Get what ever pipes you want, but I don't think the True Duals, at least the ones I am thinking of, I don't think they have that Venturi Effect Extraction of the cleaning cylinder by the compression release cylinder either...

Get what ever pipes you want, Ride Free, just as long as you know: I don't think they are any better than the V&H Dresser Duals, just straight shot out in dual pipes.. (That is if I am thinking about the right pipes...) :nixweiss:

Cheers, Cowboy

Island Dude,

We have the same GOOD TASTES... heh he...        :2vrolijk_21:

I like the look of Dresser Duals and am in the process of deciding what to do with my new 11.5 Big Blue CUSE coming in July...  I have a Topic in here about trying to mod the existing pipes so I still have the cross-over, but if that does not work or I decide to save them as stock, your choice is what I was thinking about...

Please post pictures, side on, to see what it looked like...  V&H said the Monster Ovals were 5.5" wide and it might fill in under the boxes, it is between that and the Monster Rounds, which I have not seen... Please give us a look side on for the effect on a CUSE...
