Google Maps/Garmin Sync...
« on: April 11, 2011, 10:47:48 AM »

I always use HD's Ride Planner to send planned routes to my Garmin. Works just fine but lacks some map detail that Google Maps has.

I know you can "send" a location from Google to your Garmin but I've not been able to figure out how to send planned ROUTES from Google Maps to my Garmin...

Anyone??

this feature worked for some time but has been removed by google somewhen in 2010 I believe. Since then only one waypoint at a time can be sent  ::)

Also Garmin has a free program called Basecamp that you install on you PC.  Plug your Garmin into the PC and Basecamp uses those maps.  You plan your routes, add POIs, and then export them to the Garmin.  I'm not a power user yet but it works.
