My 2000 FLTRSEI Mods
« on: April 12, 2011, 10:38:18 AM »

Well here she is. I have 5500 miles on it now. I kept all of the stock parts. It now has RC Components Drifter wheels and Metzler 880 tires. 21x3.5 with a 120/70/21 up front and a 18x4.25 with a 150/70/18 in the back. The front fit fine but the back was a different story. I used the pingle spacer to move the pulley over. The belt does not rub but it's dang close. I'll probably switch over to the 1 1/8 belt and pulley if I can find a chrome inner primary. Also with the 150 tire I had rubbing issues in the fender. The fender support at the bottom of the fender had to be bent and redrilled also the 4 nuts inside of the fender ( the 1's that hold the fender in place ) had to be ground down. No real big problem but it had to be done and to get the bigger 150 tire in there over the factory tire is a big improvement in my eyes. Well worth the extra work. I turn my own wrenches so there was no extra cost. I also installed the progressive drop kit for the front and lowering brackets on the rear, bullet turn signals, Rinehart 4" true duals, power commander, Arlen Ness big sucker, Klock Werks 12" shield and a few chrome pieces here and there. This will be it for a while. And yes the reflectors will be coming off this week lol.
Cya, Dion

The bike looks fantastic!

You might consider replacing the headlight bubble with the black 2009 recessed headlight trim.  Others here have done it on the legacy SERGs and it looks wicked!

If you go with the recessed headlight trim, remember that HD claims the '09 and later headlights are of harder glass.  Don't know if it's true or not but you might want to check...
