Keeping oil where it should be when changing.

Got a great little gadget to keep oil off things. Called Form-a-Funnel from Pig.

Can shape into almost any shape and easily cleans after use.

Looks like a great idea.  Let us know how well it works after you change the filter on your Harley; that will be the real test.

Damn, I like the idea.  But just checked eBay and anywhere from $25 to $40?  Really?  For a funnel?  That's worse than a $90 air cleaner....

I dont see why I would need that.......  just cut a large water bottle and it works as good......

I couldn't resist that one. Was going to buy one of those Harley ones but haven't heard good things from them. On the dyna the cardboard from a  case of beer always worked well but with the oil cooler and added real estate on the ruse not sure how that would work. This looks promising.

I do not think a soda bottle does what this thing can. Is like asking a 50 y/o to do what a 20 y/o could do. Is all about flexibility  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

I use a 99 cent for sale sign...bends easily into a U shape and slides right up under the filter.

Have used them on all kinds of things. Works great on my Avalanche. This one was a gift so I have two of 'em. Works on the '99 Dyna without any oil getting where I don't want it.

I just bought the new one from the moco. I was very pleasantly surprised. It works great, especially when trying to access the filter on these 2011's with the oil cooler and the lowers. The part # is 63794-10. It's definately worth the $20.00

I use a 1/2 gallon plastic milk container cut to make a trough.  It's volume is just enough to hold what comes out of the engine and filter IF you don't dump the filter in it.  Just hold the filter horizontal to get it out.  The commercial troughs are larger and won't fit due to the oil cooler and hoses that are in the way.
