Vehicles we'll always regret selling or trading
« on: April 15, 2011, 08:12:48 AM »

I'm starting this thread because of a side topic raised in the "what's everybody look like" thread where petewerner traded his sweet red 03 Silverado SS for a bike.  I couldn't understand why he'd do that since I have the same truck...he now deeply regrets the deal.

We were rightly called-out in jacking the thread so I'll start this one.  We've all been in his shoes...several times in my case!

If a moderator would move those postings #1162, 1168, 1178 and 1179 from pages 78 & 79 over here, it'll make a good start for this thread....

Still wish I had this, although i doubt it would have survived. My little girl loved riding and playing in the Jeep, although my wife would have fits when we would go out with out the doors or roof.

Well Jim - I wish you did too - then you could hire me to run it. I have a big enough ticket, just may need an endorsement or 2

We could travel the world and bring the bikes and ride exotic places and make everyone here jealous.  :2vrolijk_21:

Good topic - old farts/gearheads always have machines we wish we still owned.  I had 3, a '68 Z-28 that was way too fast for a 17 year old kid, a '72 Camaro SS 396, and a 1974 H1 Kawasaki 500.  The H1 was insanely fast and had the worst brakes and suspension imaginable.  I guess I'm lucky to have survived my need for speed as a kid.  Now that I think about it, I realize where all my money went back then...

I had a 72 500 H1 in that year, I traded a 1969 H1 500 in on it. I bought it used from the dealer $1050, ended up costing me $500 and I had a brand new one  :pineapple:   It had better brakes (disk vs drum) and a steering stablizer!!!!!

Are you suggesting that you regreat selling or trading her, too? :nixweiss:  Just don't want to assume.
