Always being a gearhead.... and cycling through vehicles....

My first "built" car was a 69 Chevelle SS396 Clone (Before clones were called clones they were called FAKES) with all the correct parts except the 396.... I opted for an LS-6 / TH400 instead.

69 Z-28, 24K miles... Drove it 6 times and finally said it was time to go... I was too young and was a fraid I'd kill the car... and probably myself... Damn thing would be part of my retirement portfolio now...   :huepfenlol2:

70 Olds F85 W31 (with a W30 455 and TH400) Former drag car... it was one of 2 identically built drivetrains (this one was street car.. the other was a track-duty only car) ... the manual disc brakes made stopping an adventure.

The rest of the cars over the last 30 years are a blur.. except my current 46 Stylemaster and the Monte SS

This was in the 70's (can't be held responsable for remembering the exact year).....but I can tell you that my daughter is now in her 30s.

Pan/shovel with a Harmon frame and Harmon front end.

Nice... I completely forgot about the trucks....my brain was thinking cars.. not vehicles...

I do miss this one:

502, 4L80E, would move anything... and looked muych better with the alcoas than the fruity wheels that came on it.

1969 Triumph Daytona, bought new $1038.00 out the door, Skinny young guy leaning on Corvette that you can hardly see is me, 42 years ago.

I had one, same year different color. Somehow I do not think it would be as much fun to ride as it was in 1969-1970-1971     Thought I was on top of the world riding that bike from Colorado to California and home again in 1971 ------    I do not miss mine at all.  Although I would buy a new one if I could get it for $1038.00
