CB Channels:  Common one for truckers?
« on: May 02, 2006, 02:07:06 AM »

Just wondering if there are common channels used on the road by truckers and others or if there was one in particular that is used for contact then switching to another channel that is not as busy.

No, didn't miss out on them, but then I did not have a CB when I was in Highschool in the 60's.  Could not afford a decent car in the 70's let alone a CB and in the 80's I used one of those "marine thingys" for my boat. ;D

Thanks,
On our way back from Laughlin as we approached I-10, we had a couple of truckers conversing with us on Channel 20.

You got it Fr8, always good to use proper etiquette with the big rigs.

Hey FR8TRN, I (and a couple more on this website that I know) live in the 'burbs of Memphis.  Don't know what your plans are or how long you'll be here.  If you want, send me a pm with info.  Like to meet up for a cup of coffee or soft drink if we can.

Later,

Ultrafax

One of the best features of our new radios is that you can program three different cb channels and easily switch between them as you ride.

A scan mode would have been a nice touch.
