Finally got Mine!!
« on: May 02, 2006, 03:22:29 PM »

[smiley=banana.gif] After waiting 9 months, finally got my Autum Haze.  I put 500 miles on it the first day, and then just put another 900 on it the next week!  I love the ride! I've only had one major problem, and that is the XM radio died the first day out :-[.  I have it back in the shop to finish the upgrades: 6-Speed, Chrome Inner primary, Rineharts, and Race tuner. I am adding the Nav Quest and Radar detector, but will have to have the dash pad removed and have it altered, as they didn't plan to mount these items when they designed the dash pad [smiley=oops.gif].  Anyway, I have a couple of  questions for all of you that have had theirs for awhile...I saw that someone mentioned about locking covers for the lowers, and was wondering where to get them, and also where do I find a bag that fits on top of the tour pack? Appreciate any info.  Lastly, I was able to get special plates:  SCRM HOG.  Hope to see you CVO ers out on the road.

Welcome to the site and your new ride.

Your covered birthing pictures reminds me of the fellow who bought a new station wagon with the wood on the sides.  He took it home, proceeded to pry the wood off the side of the car, stood back and said to his wife: "I believe I liked it better in the crate"..

Here is the thread to order the doors.  They aren't in production yet, but we need a few more 06 guys to order.

Not sure what Rjob means by not in production yet but you can find some on this site. It's a great scooter you'll like it better every ride.

I was hoping he'd hold out for the custom made ones with the drop down door and locks from the thread I posted.

The more I look at those floppy rubber flaps the more I want to get these doors.  I'm glad you guys have been after this one for so long, I can't wait another 6 months.

Give Mycvo a few days to get in touch with the fabricator to price what they would be now with higher material cost, I think we all just want a price and then we can make a decision.  I'll PM him again.  We asked him to check it out on the other thread.

I agree totally Polecat. Every time I look at them I can't believe our MoCo designed them that way nor can I believe they, in all their zest to grab our money, haven't offered hinged locking doors as an aftersale accessory right from the Harley parts department. 8-)
