No mods needed!?!
« on: April 24, 2011, 05:54:01 PM »

About two weeks ago I was the happy owner of brand new CVO Convertible. I had done the deal of my life, (which also was part of the arguments I put forward to my wife) because contrary to my friends having bought standard Harleys, I would not need to spend a small fortune on mods.
The bike simply looked great the way it was delivered.

But one day Google took me on a slippery route towards www.cvoharley.com  :-X

Now, two weeks later I have list longer than anything I ever wrote to Santa.
Another thing, it's not a which list, it's all Must Have.

On top of it, a moderator states that this is "free site", yeah right  ;)

I suggest a "before you enter" warning on the home page.
This could include;
- you risk loosing the sense for what's reasonable  :P
- solutions how to mod the impossible will be freely adviced by fellow members  :nervous:
- you might consume threads as an alternative to eating
- Pictures will be used to convince you that your stock bike isn't that nice after all  :confused5:
Etc....
 :oops:

Anyway, in my case damage is done,  :drink: and I'm now a happy Converted Convertible owner instead  :bananarock:

Thanks for a great site!

Fair warning...  Once inflicted, there is no cure for the disease.  Don't think for a minute the damage is done.  Fact is, it's only starting!   :)

Ok, thanks for the tips!!

If I combine them, they should read something like;

No single receipt above $750 (HogBreath, that's what you ment right?), and then throw away any proof thereof!

Hi Buy early,

Just got on the site a few weeks back, so so far it's just a list.

Mods will follow at a reasonable pace.

But for pics see the thread below that really got me inspired!!!

No mods? Yep...I thought the same thing. But as many warned when I joined this site...they love to help you spend YOUR money.

The main argument I had to my wife to justify the higher cost of the CVO over a regular harley was that I would never have to spend anymore money on it as it came fully customized.  Recently, four years later my wife looked me in the eye and said " there just isn't a quitting place " to finding things I want to do to my bike.  All I could do was hang my head low.
