Site name TCnBham.  I thought I had a phone number for TC.  In fact I know I did at some time.  But in phone upgrades awhile back must have lost it.  He's not logged on the site here since 26 April.  He's in central Alabama in Birmingham so have been worried he got through the storms ok.

I lost the address with the phone number.  Half way sure I could find my way back to his place from having been there before.  But I don't have it.  Tried the online White Pages but struck out.  Since Neal has been in contact feel a lot better though.  The news from B'ham and so much of the rest of the south is so bad Terry's silence had me worried though.

Birmingham still had 49,000 without power last night.  State wide we still have over 100,000 without power.  I can see from his home page roughly were he lives and may take a ride down there and see if it is in an area without power.

I think I found his address and phone number, I left a message on his recorder to call me.  If I don't hear from him we will ride to the address I found and check it out this afternoon.  The one I found lives in the area his profile shows and use to be associated with UAB.

Reading the wire feeds and local reporting like the link you'd posted show just how widespread this disaster is.  It's easy for a paper or TV station to show pics of a building or a block and talk it up as a major incident.  But this just goes on and on and on.  It's been good to see you up and around.  The address you had for Terry looks right and he used to work for UAB. 

Be safe when out and about.  Many are likely still edgy after the disaster.

I woke up to a PM from Terry this morning.  They're fine....but he did say a lot of trees down and B'ham is a mess.

I talked with Vernee last night and they're fine also. 

Both have been without power since last Wed.

Thanks for the concern everyone...we just got power back on this morning.  No damage to my house...just a few big limbs in the yard from the first wave that hit our area in the early morning hours Wednesday.  A mile from me got hit pretty hard, with trees on houses, and many snapped off 20 feet off the ground.  Power lines on the ground in that area as well.

Jerry...got your message, but I felt it was too late to call you by the time I listened to it.  We got sick of sitting in the dark, so went out and got drinks and some good food.  We lost a lot of food despite packing it all down in ice...freezer stuff thawed out, so we'll be eating what we can and have to discard the rest.

We were lucky compared to a lot of people...the area in Tuscaloosa that got hit so hard was where I lived when I attended school at Alabama.  That tornado was on the ground for over 60 miles, and just missed coming into downtown Birmingham.  A lot of donations going on in my area, sending needed items to those hardest hit.  It was a scarey day...

Good to hear from you Terry and glad everyone is ok.  Weather up this way have been pretty bad also but nothing like what hit Tuscaloosa.  I used to live just west of there in Columbus, MS, when I was in the USAF.  Nice area, nice folks.  Praying for God's blessing for all.
