In other news, LePera seat manufacturering declined to attempt a remanufacturering of my stock saddle. I was told that in the busy beginning of the riding season, they wouldn't have time to properly address, design and complete a quality upgrade with so many orders to fulfill. Christine left me a message that it might not be a feasible project until November 2006.

I am very disappointed in this news, because of the high quality work that I have seen first hand. But, if you can't do it, ya can't do it. Rather than pushing the issue, I will pick up my stock seat and find an alternative manufacturer to do the upgrade.

I still love my custom two up seat LePera created for me. But I look forward to the day when I can answer someones request for a saddle upgrade and have a top quality product and professional company to refer them to with my reputation at stake.

I too, am disappointed, but can understand their position I guess.
I would actually prefer to ship them my seat in the winter when the bike is down for the long sleep.

altugo, You know, you are not the first one to mention the quality of Aligator Bob, and surely not the last. Thanks, I will definately check out his site and see if he's as good as his customers believe he is. I know of about 6-7 stock saddles that want their ass in a better seat with the original saddle chrome. Who wouldn't?

When I first saw the SE Fatboy it was the chrome around the solo seat that drew me to it.I like that look and definately would want to keep it.Good luck with your seat issues.

I agree I wouldnt want to part with my stock seat neither.I tought since le pera isnt doing it maybe someone else would.Well I have no idea about the prices of Bob.Any ideas?Compatible with le pera or much higher?Hes stuff sure seems expensive with all those exotics.

Here's an option.   I, too, was drawn to the chrome around the seat and didn't feel it was an option to give it up for comfort.  

I had this seat made by mcseating and had him pack it with gel and padding as much as he could.   It's a lot more cushion than stock although not as comfortable as a sundowner.
