Steve its not bad fuel, I know that for sure. Its been doing this for the last 600 or so miles.

Mike...are you getting your fuel from the same place all the time? Just sayin' that they might have gotten a "bad batch", if that's the case. I try to get my fuel at places locally that I know sell a lot of it, so I know it's relatively "fresh". If not, I personally would go with the Seafoam idea first...as I mentioned, the Stratoliner owners who complained that their bikes started pinging after X number of miles swore by the stuff. That bike is a relatively high compression, big displacement, 4 valves per cylinder, pushrod engine. It's worth a shot before you start dicking around with the MAP, IMO. Like Steve said, the ECM hasn't changed, so it's got to be something else, and from what little I know, carbon buildup can cause problems like you are describing. I'm a "keep it simple, stupid" kind of guy, so am inclined to start with the easier stuff first, sort of like Billy Bob Thorton in "Slingblade"...."It ain't got no gas in it...mmmmmhuh"
