Passing lamp bulbs
« on: May 03, 2011, 09:05:27 AM »

On my 2009 Ultra I have a passing lamp out. What is a replacement bulb I can get at an auto parts store? My dealer is 80 miles away.

All I need is a bulb for now. I plan to change in a month or two. Thanks

muddypaws, I tried to find the part no for you, but I don't have the CVO parts addendum. In the regular Ultra service manual the part no is 68453-05 which draws 2.1 amps and they also show an international bulb part no. 68851-98 which draws 2.7 amps, but I am not sure if these are the same as on your bike which is the same bike I have. However, on my Heritage I have halogen bulbs and I took the bad one into my local auto parts store and matched it up with one from a car. (this was just the bulb, not a sealed unit). I bet you will find one and it will be a lot cheaper. Good Luck CAHDBIKER

The CVO parts book on my 07 cuse also lists part no 68453-05 which is a 26.9w bulb.  I would think yours are most likely the same.  I changed mine several years ago to a fog light bulb # 886 which is available at any auto parts store.  It is a 50w bulb.  I think the stock equivalent is # 881 which is 27 watt.  However I have had no problem with the 886.

I found this info from other site members several years ago but could not locate any of the old posts.  Hope this helps.
