For Hogasm
« on: May 03, 2011, 01:19:51 PM »

Brian,

Here are the photos of my AC assembly which is a Zipper's max flow and the same as advertised on their site, no change.

Simple install, just substitute the 'bluegrass" vents for the Zipper's banjo style vents and bolt up to the heads.  Run your vent lines up to the backbone under the tank to a tee, then single hose down the backbone through the battery compartment and come out at the rear of the dogbone between the frame and swingarm.

Arrangement works great!  No leaks, no maintenance.

And Pete, will it vent the blow-by oil out thru all that plumbing up & over and down?  Mine pukes right much at Interstate speeds, so just wondering if it would handle it.  spyder

Handles it great, no issues for me.  Just for peace of mind, I installed a 5/16 tee in the battery compartment so I could blow out the line every now and again to make sure it stayed clear.  Again no issues in the 4 years I've had it.

Sounds like you are on the mend my friend which is great news!  Gotta get the Huckleberry back on the road again too.  You can add this vent blowby system to the list of parts you'll need!  Don't forget the brake rotors with the blue buttons!!!

I need the  ordering info for those rotors like you've got....if you can dig it up.  Wonder if they've discontinued the ones that'll fit my old wheels?  spyder

Here's the link, you will have to call them to discuss discount.  I recall getting a 20% discount buying three rotors and three sets of pads.  They threw in three more sets of pads on top of the discount.

Thanks.  Do you remember which style yours are?  If not, could you post a pic so I can try and pick out the correct style?  I remember that what you had looked as good with the 3 spoke wheels as anything I've been able to come up with....they really don't have a 3 spoke style now...no one does that I can find.  spyder

Here's a pic of the front rotor.  The part I ordered was LRB #115A1S2F (front) and #115A1S2R (rear), 11.5" MMC ARC Chrome/Silver.  I thought this style looked best with the detonators.
