I notice Redline was not included in those tests. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.................
I won't pretend to speak for the folks who sponsored those tests, but at the time the first round of testing was designed (2005) Redline didn't make a blip large enough to see on the motorcycle motor oil sales charts. I believe the original idea of the test was to take the top selling products on the market
at that time and test them, not necessarily to seek out every possible product no matter how small it's presence in the overall market. I like conspiracy theories as much as the next guy, but I'm not convinced the folks at AMSOIL purposely left out products that they thought might test better than their own. If you look at the individual tests, you will note than AMSOIL did not come in at #1 in 6 of the 11 categories, and ranked as low as 7th and 8th in two categories.
I would like to see the current Redline V-Twin product tested to those same standards and compared, but I would expect it would make more sense for Redline to do it if they feel they have a superior product. So far they haven't done so, even though they are fully aware of this AMSOIL sponsored test report that's been floating around for the past 5 years. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....................
