That cop'll have a good story for a few days.

Glad to see the rider looked relatively okay.

I think his seeing the squad car sitting there as he rounded the turn thru him off his game...  He grabbed some brake, started to stand it up, realized he wasn't gonna make the turn, dropped back down and then dumped it.  I'm guessing he feels like an idiot every time he watches himself on youtube!

JC - if he was ticketed, my guess would be wreckless driving. For the most part Mullholland Drive is posted 55 MPH and suggested speed signs posted in curves. I might be wrong but it didn't look like the dude was exceeding 55 in the sweep. And another factor on the riders side, he was riding alone.. my guess, the cop checked to make sure he was not intoxicated, told him to slow down sent him on his way.... darn will we ever know  :-\

I have to agree with this quote the rider he/she looked in good shape till he/she took eyes off where the bike should be going and saw the LEO. Surely laser or radar could not have locked that quick even if the biker was exceeding the posted limit.

That looks like the area above the Rock Store. The cops usually wait at the top and watch them come up the canyon and just pull them over after the last turn by waving them over. I've seen bikes stripped of all their plastic while being extruded through the guard rails. Usually no one gets hurt because of the 20 mph turns, but it makes for interesting viewing.

Oh no......they write them for "to fast for conditions" more than for speeding.  I think there may be one or two of those if you were to view my past driving record. :nervous: :nervous:

They even ticket the spectaters. Its just a ticket that they check off infractions real quick. So fast that I watched a cop hand a spectater a ticket for urinating in public and hand it to him before he was even finished.   :laugh4:
