« on: May 12, 2011, 09:00:54 PM »

looked at 11.5 last week sitting outside in the sunshine and it sure looked blue to me. today it was sitting inside the shop (service dept was working on automatic ign lock) and that same bike sure looked PURPLE. is this the way they are supposed to look? i did like the look but gosh thats a big color differnce from being outside to going inside under flourecent lighting. somebody tell me something! Smoky Mountain Boy,

Flouro lighting can be in all ranges of the spectrum, and I can see how the midnight blue part of the bike might look a bit funny under the artificial lighting..

But you don't mean the bright blue part do you?  This part, the midnight blue metal flake could easily be affected, like in the pic below.

As cowboy said different light makes the bike different colors.
I have seen a hue of purple on mine in certain light.
But it's also my understanding that purple bikes rock.
But that could just be the owners.

Different light affects the paint on this 2011.5 different ways.
For me, it's just the character of the bike.
And I like it.

And remember it's the only 2011.5 bike Harley will ever produce.
Should I put your name on the list?
