Which Maximum confort speed for the FLHTCUSE ???
« on: May 09, 2006, 02:43:24 PM »

Hi all

I heard from two guys that have new FLHTCUSE like most of you , that they are not completelly satisfied with the bike, due to vibrations over 85 - 90 MP/h  and strange movements of the bike .

Did you noted something like this ??

Which is the maximum confort sepeed you can ride this bike with two up with load ??

Regards

Took 2k mile road trip recently with wife on back and pulling a Bushtec trailer. No problem, no vibration at all doing 80 when cruising.  Sometimes up to 90 when passing.

In the limited time I've had mine I haven't had it do anything un-nerving that I couldn't attribute to either wind gusts or road conditions. I do like to ride fast when conditions permit but also try to employ a lot of common sense when I have a passenger and or cargo on board. I sure wouldn't want to brand the FLHTCUSE as having a stability problem. Remember, it's a motorcycle.

I have an 06 Screaming Eagle Ultra and have over 2,000 miles on it....have had it up to 85 and experienced no wobble or vibrations.  I have had some hair raising high speed turns with the bike...at times need to force it in a turn on highways.

Great bike, I ride it more than my 03 Road King Classic and my 03 Screaming Eagle Duece.

Wish Harley would come out of the woods with the paint issues, mine is one of the multi colored Chrisom Slate Charcoal...somebody forgot to put the red flakes on my front fairing and my fenders!

This is a great bike doing 70 + with the Rolling Stones cranked on the CD!!!!
