Best I've used.....stop good, minimal brake dust, reasonably priced, easy on rotors.   :2vrolijk_21:spyder

Of the three types of pads, which ones do people prefer?  Gold, Red, or Z?

Stay away from racing pads.  Unless you plan on racing that 1000 pound monster, that is.

For most folks riding normally, the Z compound is the best compromise.  Better stopping power and feel than stock, but still very quiet and rotor friendly.  As you progress to more aggressive compounds, you increase noise levels and rotor wear but won't necessarily see much difference in brake performance under normal riding conditions.  If in doubt about what you should use for your particular riding style, give the guys at Lyndall a call.
