I know this is a much discussed topic and everyone has their opinion but looking for some specific feedback/experience.
Anyone running with x pipe and stock SE muffler?  How about V&H Monster Ovals (or rounds) w/ x pipe?
I understand many go with the Fullsac 2" power cores in stock cans but not sure I want to go this route.
Other muffler choices that members are happy with in a similar setup?

Separate but related topic - advantages of the Fullsac Stage II for "civilized" everyday touring/riding?

I just install the stage II from Fullsac. Bike runs perfect but disappointed with the dyno results. 96 hp 104 ft. lbs. tq.
k&n filter, catless headpipe, Jackpot mufflers, TTS Mastertune, Andrews 54 cams,  Cometic .30 head gaskets, download from Steve, don't know what to do? I know every dyno is different but I haven't told Steve about my results. Maybe I should be satisfied. What does eveyone think?

Not sure what's up with that, but you should be up at least another 10 ft lbs tq WITHOUT the cams, let alone with them. What do the curves look like?

No such thing as Rinehart Monster Ovals- there are Vance and Hines Monster Ovals, if that is what you meant.

I am very happy with my Rinehart 4" mufflers on the x pipe- a bit on the loud side (which I prefer), yet not offensively so. Very deep sounding, and has a nice idle as well.

Bike runs perfect but your disappointed with final dyno numbers. Sorry to hear that. Well lets see, did you have a base line from the same dyno so
we know how much power you actually gained?  Percentage of gain is the only thing an individual dyno is really usefull for telling us. Comparing numbers from different
bikes on different dynos with different operators is far from an accurate analogy of performance. Different bikes on the same dyno with the same operator done on same day,
now we have a dyno test! A true comparison of HP between two bikes measured with the same instrument. Even then, the operator can substantial change
the results. When I was in high school riding a nitrous injected 750 Suzuki, we carried had pieces of paper from 1320' of asphalt.
Those still mean a whole lot more than any dyno chart.

Speaking of asphalt. Hows your bike perform in the real world? Does it run reasonable cool? Decent mileage? Anybody running off from you on the hills?
Lost any drag races? At least it runs perfect. Thanks for not telling me. Lol....

Like Steve said, I would suspect the Dyno.  Without a "before" pull, you have no idea where you started on THAT Dyno, with THAT operator.

You could get a pull on a different Dyno, and I'm 99% sure you'd get different results.

Hey, I was dumb for not having them dyno the bike before. It was torn down having other things added and waiting for parts. A base line would have been smart. I have had Fullsac products before and I'll work with Steve again. The bike does run flawless! I might have to spend more $ when Steve comes up with the Stage III for the 110".
Hey Steve, the Harley tech said the map was right on and the power curve was real good.

Woops, meant V&H.  Considering V&H (Monster Ovals or Rounds) as well as Rinehart 4".  I have heard varying advice from just add less restrictive slip ons and XIEDS; headers and mufflers with full tune, and FS Stage I Sleeper kit w/ TTS Mastertune.
What I need is to reduce heat and have decent sound without being overly loud at cruising speed.

Personally, the FS X pipe with the 2" cores for the stock cans worked out well for me.  At steady cruising speeds, the sound is not too loud, but I wear a Modular Helmet at all times.  When you get on the throttle, it's plenty loud enough without being obnoxious, IMO.  In the end, this is one of the most economical upgrades you can do, particularly if you do the work yourself.  Even if the 2" cores are too loud for you, replacing them with the 1.75" would be simple, and you can always sell the 2" cores to recoup some of your money.  IF you like the looks of the stock mufflers (I do), this is by far the less expensive route to take.

That seems to be the consensus and I know this is a very economical way to go.  Only thing stopping me is that I want to be able to return it to stock if/when I want to so want retain stock cans (and header).  Does Fullsac provide a TTS Mastertune fuel map for x pipe with after market cans like V&H or Rinehart or do I need to spend the money to do a dyno tune if I go that route?

Last year I added the TTS with Steve's map. My bike had the Fullsac cores (I was told they were 2.25", but they may have been 2" cores). I took the bike to a dyno tuner, and after he did some runs, he said don't bother with a custom map, it wouldn't be worth it since it ran good and had good looking curves.
Since then, I put on an RSD Air Cleaner (hi flow but so is the stock SE Ventilator), and swapped out the Fullsac mufflers for the 4" Rineharts. Took it to a different tuner for a dyno run and maybe a custom map, and he told me the same thing the first guy did- runs great, no need for a custom map.
So, the moral of the story is that Steve's map covered my bike both ways.

Thanks!  Good to know.  I'll let you know what I decide but feel more confident now in proceeding with X pipe, TTS Mastertune with Steve's map, and aftermarket cans.  I can always go back for a dyno run and tune if something isn't quite right.

Been sold on xpipe.  Praises have been unanimous everywhere - here, friends, HD tech, etc.  Just been debating muffler and map/tune options.  Thanks for the input!
