Enough with the roasted calf
« on: May 31, 2011, 08:39:43 PM »

Anybody here running the Fullsac X-pipe on their 110"? I'm looking to alleviate  some of the exhaust heat, which is felt  by the rider and passenger on their right calf/thigh. It's not even summer yet and the heat on our legs is considerable.
I don't know if I'll change the stock mufflers since the mellow sound is kinda nice on the long rides, I had V&H monster ovals on my '06 ultra and they would wear on you after a while....
If I just change the head pipe will the stock ECM adjust for it? I ask although I'll probably go with Fullsacs' TSS tuner to optimize the pipe change.

I went with the fulsac x pipe & 2" baffles. The heat is gone! It sounds great with the 2" baffles. I didn't want anything too loud & these worked out  great for me. Yes, you will have to get it retuned. You will like the difference it makes.

Darn, and I thought this Thread was an invite to a proper BBQ, Australian style...   :coolblue:

Back on track, heat shields work pretty cool with either the stock exhaust or the V&H Power Duals...   Cowboy

There's probably a brazillion posts about the X pipe on the 110's...do a search and read until you're heart's content.  The short answer...yes, it works, and very well.
