We made it through but we are now wet, cold, should have put on the rain gear, full face helmet but hey I am stupid!








This may look deserted but I can not tell you how may bicyclist, hikers, activist I saw on this road…

In communicating with JC earlier today he made a suggestion that made total sense to me…If I was going to be near Tahoe drop off some gear at the host hotel.  Love it!  Sooo….I laid my head in Tahoe tonight at the host hotel itself!  They are waiting on us!  Thanks JC!

Well today was certainly interesting…I wanted to take Highway 50, the Loneliest Road in America for the experience and what an experience it was…time to press on west!

My experience on US50 was much like yours. Wind blew me into the middle of the oncoming lane of traffic. Thank goodness there was no traffic. Experienced plenty of rain but didn't have the fortune of hail like you. Godspeed.

I was sending you emails (hopefully getting them on your crack berry when you stopped), letting you know what was heading your way, as the forecast changed throughout the day.

Now if you're sitting someplace in eastern Nev. and reading this right now, you better hit the road.  Hwy. 50 is open over the pass and no chain requirements this morning.  However, thunderstorms and showers this afternoon......you want to get over the top of that pass before that begins.
As you pass thorough the valley here today, supposed to be a high of 78F about 4:00 p.m.  82F tomorrow and 86 on Thurs......in the 80s for the next seven days. :2vrolijk_21:
